Pasko in America Unveils the Ultimate Filipino Christmas Extravaganza at American Dream
Pasko in America will launch its first-ever Filipino Christmas festival on Dec. 16, from 10 am to 10 pm at American Dream in East Rutherford, NJ. It will transform the venue – the second largest entertainment and retail center in the U.S. into a Filipino Christmas replica, replete with all the Philippine festive trimmings, including more than 27 breathtaking parol displays.
This groundbreaking Filipino Christmas festival, an offshoot of the famed Fiesta in America, will showcase all the trimmings of a traditional Filipino experience with the combined efforts of Pasko in America as well as the sponsors and exhibitors.
The day-long festival from 10 am to 10 pm will immerse Filipinos and mall goers in the vibrant Christmas spirit of the Philippines. The lineup of activities promises an unforgettable day filled with excitement and nostalgia. From captivating parol making to a mouthwatering array of Filipino food from food trucks stationed a few steps outside of the mall plus engaging games and raffles, there's something for everyone.
Two non-Filipino restaurants, Jarana and Mozzarella Bar, have also teamed up with Pasko in America to serve Filipino food on the same day. The latter offers an incredible balcony vista overlooking the bustling event down below.
This is an ideal event for bringing an impromptu school reunion or family reunion at Pasko in America as American Dream offers many options for entertaining and dining.
CEO & President Fernando Mendez passionately describes the event as nothing short of "Your Ultimate Filipino Christmas Away from Home, a conduit for Bringing the Philippines’ Christmas Spirit to the East Coast, and a means of Transporting You to a Filipino Christmas reminiscent of your cherished memories,” said CEO & President Fernando Mendez.
Fiesta in America will also honor organizations and Filipino talents for their community-building initiatives and artistic excellence, respectively.
Pasko in America will also go Broadway. It will showcase musical talents from New York and New Jersey, headlined by none other than Broadway luminary Arielle Jacobs. Known for her spellbinding performances in "Here Lies Love" and various Broadway hits, Jacobs, alongside her Filipino American castmates, will grace the stage to mesmerize audiences. Her portrayal of former Philippine First Lady Imelda Marcos in "Here Lies Love" resonates deeply with her Filipino heritage, bringing a personal touch to her breathtaking performances.
